Kenneth Cox Construction Disclaimer
This page explains the fine print behind everything else on the site. Any cost range you see here is a ballpark drawn from past work in MidCoast and Central Maine, never a quote. Your real price depends on your site, your ledge, your access, and what turns up once a wall is open.
On permits, we file the paperwork and we build to code. The sign-off itself belongs to your town's code enforcement officer, so nobody in a truck can promise you approval, and anyone who does is guessing.
Where we make a claim about the company, we keep it to things you can check. BBB accreditation, work in these twenty towns since 1988, over 250 projects finished, and two years of written warranty on everything we build.

This Kenneth Cox Construction disclaimer tells you how to read the numbers and the advice on this website.
Read it alongside our terms and conditions and privacy policy.
What this Kenneth Cox Construction disclaimer covers
Pricing. Every cost range on this site, including the ranges in our cost guides, is an estimate based on typical projects and current conditions in MidCoast and Central Maine.
Those ranges are not quotes and not offers. What your project costs depends on the site, the access, the age and condition of the building and the final scope, which we can only assess in person.
Nothing on this website is a binding price. A price becomes binding when it is in a written estimate we have signed.
Permit and Code-Enforcement Responsibilities
We prepare and file permit applications as part of our work where a project needs one.
Approval is not ours to give. The municipal code enforcement officer decides what is approved and when, and we cannot promise any particular outcome or timeline.
Construction Credentials in Maine
Maine issues no state credential for general contractors or builders. Only plumbers and electricians hold state-issued trade credentials here.
Nothing on this website should be read as a claim that we hold a general contractor credential, because none exists in this state to hold. Anyone in this trade telling you otherwise is describing something that is not real.
What we do have is real and checkable: BBB accreditation, insurance we will show you, a written two-year workmanship warranty, and references in the towns we work in.
Website Information Is Not Professional Advice
Our guides and service pages describe general conditions and common practice in this region. They are not a project-specific evaluation of your property.
Building codes, material availability and pricing all change. A page you read a year from now may no longer reflect current conditions, which is why our cost guides carry a year in the title.
Construction Timeline Estimates
Any duration given on this site is typical, not guaranteed. Weather, material lead times, inspection scheduling and conditions found once work starts all move real dates.
How May You Use Website Photographs?
Project photographs on this site show real work. We do not present stock imagery as our own completed projects, and we do not present a model or a stock portrait as anyone who works here.
What Should You Know About External Links?
We link to manufacturers, trade bodies, state agencies and municipal offices where the source is genuinely useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they publish.
